IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING TEXAS "LEVELS" OF CREDENTIALLING:
Texas DOES accept the NCLC (previously NCLE) Certifications, but they have a tiered level of licensing and the Certifications and Certifications apply to their highest level of "Hair Removal Professional". In Texas, one must FIRST become a Senior Level Technician with the State BEFORE gaining the NCLC Certification. This presents a problem for some applicants because NCLC Certifications were around for many years before the Texas regulations so many individuals already had them. Also, some applicants who are already NCLC Laser Certified in other States may move to Texas and wish to make application as a Hair Removal Professional to the State. Texas will only recognize the NCLC Certification if it was gained AFTER you qualified as a Senior Level Technician with them. The NCLC wishes to make every effort to minimize the impact this may have on previously Laser Certified Individuals. If you find yourself in this predicament we will allow you to re-apply and re-take the relevant NCLC Certification Exam at a proctored location nearest you, for the minimal processing fee of $75.
